Welcome

Welcome to Jon Watkiss Imaging, here you'll find everything from what
I've been doing recently, posted below, to a gallery of images and how to contact me.
Scott Kelby's 3rd World Wide Photowalk
The week is almost over already and it's time for the weekend to begin, I'm heading off down to Windsor for this year WWPW, should be an excellent day! The leader of the Windsor leg, Glyn Dewis, has arranged for a model to attend just incase we end up getting soaked, at least we'll have something to shoot.
If you want to find out more then check out the official website below

Wedding shoots
Howdo again, I've been running around like a headless chicken this last couple of weeks, in a manner of sorts!!. I've had an ftp server set up so that clients can view their pictures privately. Not very chaotic you might think!? when you have two weddings worth of pics to be edited, instructions for uploading to the ftp server giving me headaches that feel like my brain is melting through my ears and meetings with several people all in one fortnight it's no wonder I'm starting to go grey. It has just taken me the best part of 6 hours to upload one private gallery and to get it working... all because I forgot to put the letters ".jpg" in the description file.. DOH!!
Anyhows, I'm off to fry my brain in a little butter and roast almonds, see if I can nurse it back to life and I'll leave you with this one from the recent weddings ;^)

Poster work
I was contacted the other day by a performer wanting a poster designing, Jason had all the images already but wanted a fresh look putting to them.
Now there are two ways we could have gone here, I could have sat down by myself and put something together with just a small brief of the sort of thing Jason was after and could have spent weeks trying to perfect the design with redo afer redo, instead we plumbed for the way how I would prefer to work, we met up over a coffee in my living room and worked on the poster together, Jason knew roughly what he was looking for so we started by getting the images in the right order, this was the easy part, next came the wording... a few coffees later, courtesy of Mrs W, and we had the final product ready and a very happy performer.
Here is the final poster ;^)

Public photo shoot 23rd June 2010

From time to time I go public and host a shoot at the local community centre, this allows people to come along and have a shoot for free, I may well be slightly mad but it's fun and allows people to see if they like the way I work plus they might like the images produced.

Here is one from the last shoot we did.
